Flesje thuis gedronken. Donkerbruin bier met stevig beige schuim. Aroma van gedroogd donker fruit en chocolade. Smaak is fruitig (pruimen , zwarte kersen), caramel-achtig en chocolade-achtig. Nasmaak is wat houtig, licht bitter en wat plakkerig in de mond.

Donkerbruin bier met mooie stevige schuimkraag. Smaak is krachtig, licht bitter en ietsje zoet met iets van karamel en chocolade.

Fles gedeelt door Roelzie1986, thuis geprobeerd. Het is een roodbruin bier met een medium schuimkraag. Het heeft de geur van gedroogd fruit en pruimen. De smaak is fruitig, caramel en wat chocolade achtig.

Creamy head. Very fruity aroma (pear) and licorice. Very sweet (in fact too sweet), syrupy taste Licorice, roasted malt, pear and apple flavors. Hint of sourness. (7 4 7 3 13 = 3.4) Re-rate: bottle. Brown sugar in the aroma. Very sweet, sugary flavor. Pineapple, cane sugar, caramel. Too sugary sweet to make a real impression. (6 3 6 3 10 = 2.8) Another re-rate: 2007 version: tap, Arendsnest. Sweet flavor with pineapple, but also a firm roast flavor, with coffee and even a hint of dark chocolate. The aroma is less outspoken as the flavor, somewhat dusty roasted as the beer warmens up ("washed clothes", says barman Robin).

Bottle. Dark brown color with beige head. Aroma is chocolate, raisins, vanilla, quite intense. Taste is chocolate, not too vintage, cocoa. Silky mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Nice enough!
