250ml bottle - hazy yellow body, thin white head, nose of bananas, dough and sweet vanilla. A bit thin on the body, but a nice hit of banana and cereals in there, with a sweet ending. Not bad, but something missing.

Bottle in Brussels. Pours hazy yellow with a sturdy, pure white, foam head. Mellow wheat aroma with light dough, spices and yeast. Nice flavour if a bit watery. Doughy, wheaty character with subtle yeast, light cereal and low spices. Light in body with average carbonation. Lightly dry on the finish with some drying straw, wheat, mellow yeasty dough. A very basic witbier. Pleasant to drink.

Tap @ a random bar in Antwerpen. Cloudy light whitish yellow appearance with a white head. Very spicy, almost ginger-like, Asian spicy, yeasty aroma. Tangy, spicy yeasty, zesty, dull cracker, wheat malty flavor. Fairly easy to drink but boring and lightly strange spiciness.

Cloudy honey color with a nice foamy head. Smells of yeast but not overwhelming. Hints of banana.

2 Brown bottles, both 25cl and best before 11th Feb 2008, drank on 17th June 2007. Both bottles were poured into my old Hougaerdse Das tumbler. The beer is cloudy and looks like dirty washing up water, with a white scum on top, however, that is supposed to be how it looks, so full marks for looks (well nearly). Aroma is of citrus fruits, more a sweet grapefruit than a sour lemon smell though. This is a summers day drink, thirst quenching with weak citrus flavours joining the hops to give a very pleasant beer. The mouth drys and the citrus (grapefruity) flavours stay, a slight metallic taste also arrives, which isn’t too nice, but overal, this is one of the better wit beers I have tried.

250ml Bottle (de Garre, Brugge) - Hazy golden with a white head. Lemon, spice and grain in the aroma. Refreshing taste with notes of lemon, spice, malt and a tangy finish.
