Bottle at home. Clear red with foamy white head. Sweet cherry candy with tiny sour pinch. Bit dusty, metallic and moldy when zooming in. A run off the mill Belgian sweetened kriekje. I used to love drinking these on a rare moment and feel really special. Now this sugary maltball with fruit aroma makes me slightly sad, oh well! Definitely not bad for what it is. --- Beer aliased from original tick of Kriek Classique on 04 Jun 2021 at 18:00 - Score: 6. Original review text: Kers. 🍒 Zoet, warm, romig, vol, licht zuur. From old tasting notes. Deep burgundy red color topped by a light pink head. Sweet tart cherry nose, characteristically lambic. Flavor of tart cherries.mbubbly and effervescent. Light fruity malt flavor is cherry strong.lingering finish is tart and lightly hopped.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours cherry red with a frothy pink head. Aroma of cherry, cherry bomb sweets, with a sour edge. Moderate sweetness, medium sour. Light to medium body, oily texture, average carbonation.

0.25 l bottle from ’Brunne vun Kölle’ as ’Belle-Vue Kriek Classique’ at 5.1% abv, best before November 2017. Clear, deep red with a medium large, foamy, stable, pinkish white head. Sweetish, a little sourish, sugary and fruity aroma of lots of cherry juice, sorbet powder and raspberry. Rather sweet, just a little sourish, very fruity (a bit artificial) aroma of cherry juice, sorbet powder, raspberry and a touch of almond, followed by a short, slightly tart, a bit dry but rather sugary finish. Thin to medium body, a bit astringent and fairly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Okay, just not too sweet and quite refreshing, but totally lacking depth and intensity.

Tap. Nice clear cherry-red exterior. Tall, creamy pinkish head. The aroma combination cherry stone sweetness. And tartness with lambic yeastiness. Pleasant fruity taste. A bit sweeter than a good lambic is meant to be. Still decent.
