Aroma of toasted malts, tobacco, coffee, hint of dark chocolate. Flavour is medium sweet with a moderate bitter finish. I wouldn’t say this is thin, but it’s not particularly full-bodied either. It’s a bit on the sweet side. And where’s the Saison yeast?

Bottle at the brewery. Aroma is full on coffee, taste is more nuanced, initial coffee, but afterwards more subdued. Bit of caramel sweetness, roasty. Very nice. Quite subtle. Don't get much Belgian, but I do get much deliciousness.

Bottle Black, opague. Coffee, dark chocolate and caramel in the aroma. Malty sweet flavor, with chocolate and coffee. caramel. Onedimensional, slightly alcoholic, but really nice to drink.

To me it seems more like a black coffee Stout Imperial Style on the label it says belgian-style black ale with coffee. I don't pick up too much of whatever the belgian-style is supposed to be. Aroma is Coco and dark roasted malts. Flavor is similar to nose very smooth and soft. A little coffee in there very easy drinking beer.

Bottle at home a while back. Dark brown with a brown head. Coffee holds up pretty well. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, candy sugar, dried fruits, caramel. A hint of green pepper. Similar taste. Smooth coffee and chocolate. I enjoyed this more than I thought I would.

Bottle from Flink Gegist, Delft, Netherlands. Consumed at home B/H Monday, 28th December 2015 Pours very dark brown in fact in this poor light it could actually be black, a small beige head sits atop. Coffee is the dominant feature in both the mouth and on the nose, but this is very good. Described as an Imperial Saison, I didn’t really get that, however it was clearly not in the BIPA territory as no real hoppy bite. I liked this. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.8

Bottle from Bacchanalia, Cambridge. Drunk at home. Dark brown with very little visible carbonation and minimal head. Smell... hmmm... cold milky coffee, marshmallow, vanilla and a bit of yeast. Sweet sugary taste, hints of creme brûlée and cinnamon toast. A bit of hop bitter/sourness in the finish. Enjoyable but a bit one-dimensional for the ABV, hype and cost.
