Strange looking photo on the label which is a bit too familiar. It is apparently a picture of a cocoa pod......." Frothy brown head stayed well on a dark brown still body. Spicy aroma with peppery hints. Medium bodied, well carbonated on the palate and a cloying aft. Nut, roast, coffee, malt, strong black coffee & demerara tastes with a mild chilli finish.

Bottle. Brown head quickly dissapearing. Not intensive aroma of chocolate, cocoa, vanilla, almonds, dark fruits. Taste is rather sweet. Sweet chocolate, coffee, cocoa, vanilla, dried plums, crust of bread. Sharp, roasted finish. Medium body, medium carbonation. Solid one.

Bottle, 0.33l. Thick black pour, one finger creamy beige head. Medium retention, thick lacing. Wonderful nose, coffee, cocoa and dark fruits. Hint of vanilla. Rich and intense, this is shaping up to be damn fine brew. Medium body, very soft carbonation. Thick texture, oily and creamy. Smooth on the palate. Roasty bittersweet taste, rich and robust aroma. Caramel malts, coffee, cocoa. Vanilla. Raisins. Forest fruits. Oats. Nicely warming boozy mouthfeel. Hop bitterness later on. Medium lasting finish, boozy and slightly dry. Overall, this one delivers. Robust, complex and tasty. Damn fine brew.
