Donker kruidig degustatiebier. In dit bier zijn er 8 soorten mout verwerkt. Daarnaast zorgen de kruiden voor een mooie balans. Er werd ook gebruik gemaakt van kruidnageln vanille, koriander, kaneel en jeneverbes. Zeer kruidig bier maar toch mooi in evenwicht. De gebruikte kruiden zijn jeneverbes, kruidnagel, kaneel, vanille en coriander.

Aroma of sweet dark malt, caramel, overripe fruits, candy sugar, spices, some liquorice and anise. Flavour is quite sugary and sweet. A bit on the thin side for a Quad. Okay at best, nothing I’ll revisit.

Pas convaincante du tout cette Fort Lapin 10 qui se veut être une quadruple mais qui n'en n'a pas les codes. Le visuel est sur un ambré quasi brun légèrement voilé avec une fine effervescence soutenue et une mousse blanc cassé nappant la surface. Le nez est aigre avec vinaigre, citron, mélasse, caramel, porto et fruits confits. Dès l'attaque une légère acidité et aigreur se font ressentir. En deuxième bouche, cela s'aggrave avec peu d'équilibre et surtout sans la puissance qu'a usuellement une quadruple. L’arrière-bouche est davantage sur l'acidité et le final, discret, n'a que peu d'intérêt. L'alcool, pourtant à 10 % est un grand absent pour une quadruple qui manque de puissance et qui pour moi, n'en est pas vraiment une.

A 33 cl bottle of Fort Lapin 10 came along by way of a new-to-me Belgian retailer who surprised with astounding service. I make the pour into my newish Delirium tulip glass and see an amber-brown body topped with a significant head of sepia foam that slowly declines. I lift the glass for a smell, cherries, grain and hard candy. Now I take a drink, dark raisins, black cherries, multi-grain bread, malt, wood and yeast. Nicely substantial. Rather good, a pleasant quad I knew nothing of previously.
