Originally brewed by Ash Vine, then by Heritage when they bought up the rights to the Ash Vine brands, and then contract brewed by Hobdens Wessex for Heritage who sent some beer to Wessex Craft Brewers for bottling. Wessex Craft Brewers changed name to Integrated Bottling Solutions, then to Branded Drinks and appear to have acquired the rights to the brand.

A clean crisp flavoured beer, a beer of two halves.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Appearance - deep amber and hazy. Thin lacy head. Nose - initially floral, which then descends into smelly socks. Taste - stewed apple, shortbread, toffee. Palate - light bodied, slightly watery. Crunchy texture, slightly slips away as you think it’s coming. Overall - something a bit faulty in there, but can’t isolate exactly what.

500ml bottle. A bit dim orange body with a fine off-white head. Aroma is vague malty with peaches, rather fruity aroma. Flavor is fruity as well, malt, slightly bitter and traces of yeast. No big deal but quite nice just for the toast!

Bottle. Slightly unclear golden beer with a minimal, off-white head. Weak malty nose with a little fruityness. Rather boring. The flavor continues in the same way, weak and quite boring that is. Malty, fruity, a bit chalky flavor. Some citrusy notes from the hops, but not much bitterness. Medium body, and a finish with fruityness doing most of the job, but getting some help from malt and bitterness, and the chalkyness found initially too. Sure not a big beer, but for a long drinking session, it would be nice. (080124)
