75cl bottle. Trade. Thanks Chris. Pours pitch black with a small creamy brown head. Nose is roasted malts - toffee, caramel, chocolate & coffee. Silky smooth palate. Bitter long roasted aftertaste. Pleasant warmth from alcohol. A heavy Imp. Porter. Yummi!

Scored this bottle in a trade with hellomynameis. Many thanks Zac! Wine bottle pours a opaque black with a lacing, creamy beige head and a slightly watery consistency. Aroma is very inviting, chocolate, coffee, toffee, nuts, toast and cookies. Flavor is sweet, chocolaty, with black licorice, dark chocolate, toast, light rum, some light smoke, plums, figs, and some very light citrus on the tail end. Finish is like a sweet, malty chocolate milk shake and just a little chalky. Delicious, very drinkable, a real winner.

Bottle at home with Doppelganger... Big thanks to WeeHeavySD for this ... Very deep brown with a hint of red ... deep soft smooth roast and chocolate ... rich toffe and a bit over vanilla. (most of the Dark alesmith seem to have a fair bit of vanilla) ... little smokey peaty whisky ....

Pours with a large, foamy, light brown head, very dark brown body. Aroma of plums, rum soaked raisins, chocolate, and cocoa powder. Extremely mouth coating feeling...very, very syrupy. Very sweet and chocolatey up front with some sticky toffee too. A bit of bitter coffee rounds out the finish. Amazingly good desert drink (goes well with vanilla ice cream, and tastes amazing as a float). As a side note, I am going to go buy a bottle tomorrow and age it for about 4.5 years, to make a killer winter desert treat.

Grain flavor and aroma. Malt in the flavor and aroma, a little chocolate, raisins and alcohol. The grain and bitter hops make this bitter overall. A well made beer but I’m not really into the flavor.

Should have drank it last night; rating #5 750 ml bottle I got from the BA Release party! Nose is rich roasty coffee, chocolate, and some grassy hay and a bit of floral! Black with rusty edges and a big tan head that laced heavily on receding; flavor was hoppy bitterness and a pepperiness at the back of my throat, along with the coffee, roast, and chocolate; finish is nice and bitter chcolate and a bit of alcohol warmth! Excellent!
