Draught @ BAJT on January 28. Pours dark copper brown with a big off-white head that clings to the glass and leaves lots of trace while dissipating. Smell is fresh and hoppy with citrus fruits, lemon zest and caramel. Taste is slightly sweet, slightly malty and bitter with lemon juice, wood and hints of coffee. Finish is malty and slightly bitter with orange zest.

On tap. It’s a clear, dark brown beer with a small, beige head. Slightly roasted nose with a little licorice and nice hops. Hoppy, slightly chocolaty flavor, roasted and citrusy with hints of licorice. Full-bodied and sweet. Long hopped finish with a nice bitterness. A rather lovely brown ale, not to big, and quite tasteful. (090529)

Cask at Stockholm beerfestival. Dugges is one of my favourite brewers and i look forward to when i can get more of them. Saying that this is not one of his best, but still a fine beer. Copper ... light nose little smoke ... mild fruity gentle malts ... little lemon hop with good balance.

Draft at Stockholm Beer Festival, 2007. A dark amber beer with an orange head. The aroma is sweet with notes of roasted malt as well as light notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet yet with a slight hint of acidity, and notes of malt and vegetables, leading to a dry bitter finish.

Draught. Quite hoppy aroma, refreshing and grassy. Dark chestnut colour. Small light brown head. Citric hop flavour, not very Belgian. Tastes more like a pale ale or IPA. Very late yeasty hint.

(Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm) Colour is dark brown with ruby hints. Nose is roasted with lots of chocolate and hints of smoke. Taste is roasted with chocolate and some tar, nice bitter and dry finish. Reminiscent of a porter. Nice, but with somewhat too much carbonation and rather unbalanced.
