Stiegl-Goldbräu is a traditional Salzburg beer specialty with 12° Plato and a characteristic golden-yellow color. A full-bodied beer with a gentle bitterness brewed using indigenous ingredients. Wonderfully refreshing and very agreeable.

Twist off bottle pours a clear golden with a large foamy white head. Aroma blonde neutral grain malt. Flavor is more of a white bread malt with a little hint of sweetness on the back end. Pretty simple but drinkable Euro lager.

Bottle at Fjällpizza, Funäsdalen. Of all places. Not bad lager, couldn't tell you much difference to other macros. On the light side. Relatively clean.

4/4/23: Pull-top green bottle, Südtirol edition, Genussgipfel Drei Zinnen. WOW what branding! Clear gold, moderate short lived head, mild skunky green-bottle nose. Flavor is grainy, slim body, it's slightly light struck. Moderate but not so pleasant bitterness. Salzburg's insult to Südtirol? Update 8/17/24: on tap in Chinese restaurant Lotus in St. Johann im Pongau. This tastes much better when it's fresh and not light struck. Full bodied, tasty beer. From 2.6 it improves to 3.1. Get rid of the damn green bottle!
