Black pour, medium beige/mocha head. Burnt/charred boozy malts. Big notes of soy, hints of cocoa, subtle overly ripe fruit and lots of smoke. Oily mouth feel, super soft, almost flat carb. Finish is where the barrel shines. Big notes of peat and smoke, and scotch laced barrel. Smoky and sweet with hints of tobacco. Great stuff.

Aroma of roasted malts, peat, more peat, even more peat, whiskey, wood, light vanilla, some smoke. Flavour is sweet with a roasted finish. Hints of alcohol. The peat is strong in this one, a bit too dominant for my taste.

Bottle at LKS, thanks to Danny. It pours jet black with a thick beige head. The aroma is rich, roasted malt, charred wood, vanilla, fruity whisky, tangy toffee, smoked peat and some medicinal notes. The taste is dry, bitter, oily, slick, rich roasted malt, peated malt, wood, earth, leather, medicinal whisky vibes and warming booze through the finish. Full body and fine carbonation. More peated character than I would expected from a (normal) Bowmore cask. Good fun.

Bottle shared in Hackney - cheers! Pours oily black with a creamy, tan head. Big chocolate, ash, burnt rubber in the nose, some peat. Medium to big sweet flavour with loads of peat and chocolate, moderate ash roast, smoke, scorched earth. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Warming finish, with some fudge and brownies, more peat smoke. Excellent. I love it.

330ml bottle from the Brewery Creek. Pours an almost black with a dark beige head. Aroma is peaty, some chocolate and dark fruits. Taste is sweet with peaty and chocolate notes. Good balanced stuff, even for the people who don’t very like islay whiskey, like me :-)
