Cask handpull at The Hope Tap, JDW, Reading. Paleish gold, thick creeam head. Nettle hop blond beer. Quite harsh on finish. It’s an ok slightly sweaty beer, but very bitter hoppy finish, especially for the ABV, quite spicy.

Cask-conditioned at the Edgar Wallace, London 3/7/08. Pale amber with a decent white head that left plenty of lacing. Citrus hop aroma with a touch of summer fruit. Flavour had some grapefruit, elderflowers and a decent dry finish. Good.

(Cask at Market Porter, Borough, London, 31 July) Colour is pale amber with frothy head. Nose is fruity with grapefruit, lemon and a distinct citrussy hop aroma. Taste is fruity with grapefruit and lemon, seriously hoppy with a slightly soapy character. Long, hoppy finish. Rather single-tracked and not really complex, but a hop heads delight. Excellent!

Sampled cask conditioned at Akkurat, Stockholm, Sweden.
Pale orange and slightly hazy. Rich perfumy aroma of grapefruit and apples. Sweet and light bodied. Rounded up front, but with rugged flowery bitter finish.
