Keg at If It Ain't Dutch, 03/07/24. Lighter shade of golden blonde topped with a white cap. Nose is herb, straw, caramel, grass, grains. Taste comprises yeast esters, caramel, sugar, grains, dried fruits, hedgerow, light spice. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced lick of alcohol. Decent for the style as doesn't run overly sweet or cloying.

Bottle. Lightly hazy golden, soapy white head, nonlasting. Lots of banana and bubblegum in the nose, bazooka candy, slightly spicy. Mild bitterness, slightly yeasty and a bit tart. Slightly burning and spicy. Lighter body.

330ml bottle delivered from Sophie's Beer Store and drunk at home. Mid- to dark gold, clear with a ring of white head. Light aroma, notes of antiseptic, some candy sugar. Sweet taste quickly followed by a medicinal bitterness. Lots of booze in the finish. Heavily carbonated. It's odd and pretty dull for a Tripel.

Monday 8th March 2021; Lock Down restrictions eased a little, Picnics allowed again! So my wife and I had one, I then had a tasting session to celebrate the momentous occasion. This was the first beer I cracked. 33cl bottle from Sophie's Beerstore: BB Jul 2022. Light haze to the golden pour, thin and short lived white head. Sweet Tripel and most enjoyable, the Oats in the brew give a slight vanilla and banana twist (I think it's the Oats), well something does anyway. Great start to the session.
