Bottle from Hopt. Aroma is estery yeast with spicy notes, coriander, malt, sugary fruits, citrus, notes of orange, and a floral touch. Flavour is fairly sweet and light bitter. Body is medium. Pretty nice classic Strong Belgian Blond.

Аромат весьма сильный, хорошо ощущаются сладкие нотки спелых фруктов, также немного специй, включая любимую для пивоварни кориандр, а также дрожжи и много пшенички. Цвет полу мутный, пена белая, очень стойкая и липкая. Вкус сильный и мощный, сразу ощущается высокий процент алкоголя. Плотный но не навязчивый вкус сладких сухофруктов, особенно ощущается курага, хотя прочие фруктовые нотки тоже тут. Легкие пшеничиные нотки ощущаються на протяжение всего саития, при этом дрожжей почти нет. Послевкусие умеренно сладкое, с легкой алкогольной ноткой. Снова немного пряных ноток с совсем легкой хмелевой горчинкой. Странно что у этого пива такой низкий рейтинг, это один из лучших крепких золотых Бельгийских элей что я пил. Браво.

25/1/2025. Bottle at the ITFC Vintage and rare Saturday share part 1. From an unrecalled source. Pours almost clear dark amber with a small bubbly off-white head. Aroma is warming, boozy, toffee, biscuit, caramac, fruit and nut bar. Taste is sweet, mild bitterness, slight cardboard edge. Medium body, low carbonation. This bottle was of some age, but had matured pretty well.

330ml bottle from lowcostbeer. Murky golden-brown, finger of off-white head, nice lacing. Sweet banana-bready malts and a touch of spice. Taste is sweet banana bread, some mild spice, nice warming alcohol, a slight dryness and moderate bitterness. Medium body, fairly smooth, nice level of carbonation. It lacks a bit of complexity but its a warming enjoyable beer.

Bottle 0,33ltr: Amber coloured brew with an slightly spicy taste and the hints are candy-like. Aftertaste kind of peppery and no bitternesh at all. I found in mine cellar an older Julius with expiration date 2002. So the beer is quite sweeter, taste of marzipan. Some burning on the tongue like cognac or saomething like that liquor. The colour is clear amber. But after the first zips of the taste i mentioned and the end is much weaker of taste.

Si cette Julius se tient globalement, elle manque quelque peu d'élégance et de variations. C'est à mon sens une sous version de l'Hoegaarden Grand Cru. Le visuel est sur un blond orangé voilé avec une très fine effervescence soutenue et une mousse blanche de 5 mm. Le nez est sur l'alcool, les céréales, le miel, la coriandre et le girofle. En bouche, si le sucre est un peu trop présent, l'alcool donne un bon tempérament en étant bien intégré. L'attaque est directement sur l'alcool, vif, qui prend le pas sur la base maltée. Le reste de la dégustation est relativement homogène avec un alcool donnant un bon tempérament. La corpulence et la longueur sont plutôt bonnes. Mais un peu plus de finesse aurait fait du bien. Autant aller sur la Grand Cru.
