Bottle from Bierkoning, Amsterdam. Aroma is grainy malt, hay, spicy peppery yeast, esters, straw, ripe-ish fruits, orange, funky and herbal notes, notes of stone fruits. Flavour is above moderate sweet and medium bitter. Body is medium. Quite the bitter Saison indeed, robust grains, wild and reckless.

Bottle, 750 ml, shared with Max, Miro and Zubo. Bit cloudy golden with huge white head. Yeasty, bit herbal, spicy, earthy, very dry and super bitter. Medium carbonation and body. Quite unusual, liked it.

Bottle. Initial light bitterness, then saison funkiness, quite fruity, strawberries and cream. Lingering bitterness there. Yum. Aroma has lots of booze that you can't get in the taste. Hops too.

Spicy aroma, but it looks like this beer has been brewed next to a manure heap. Very bitter and spicy flavor (sweet wood, pepper, woody), in fact too spicy. Hopflavors which I like in a good beer have been almost totally destroyed. Somewhat lactic, cheesy, some brett?? Totally over the top.

Amber with a huge white head that eventually settles to an inch or so. 3+ Aroma of citrus - grapefruit, Seville oranges, lime - dough, cloves. Not notably funky. Full bodied, a bit too fizzy - improves with a swirl. Fairly sweet with dough and orange. Then more bitter citrus notes take over. Not a whole lot going on but everything works together.

bottiglia 75 cl, bel cappello di schiuma grana grossa persistente, colore arancio torbido, al naso è metallica terrosa citrica e lieve detersivo, in bocca è agrumata speziata, corpo rotondo, alcool ben nascosto, acidula, carbonazione forte, Secca asciutta con amaro rilevante lungo nel finale. Estrema brusca per palati forti. Una birra complessa e bilanciata. Molto molto particolare. c. Beer-shop.it 21.04.19

75cl bottle @ Chez Sophie. Pours misty gold, frothy white topping. Aroma has a light saison sweetness. Taste is acutely bitter, sharp with an underlying saison sweetness. Some cloves coming through on the finish. High carbonation helping to make this one a sipper. Excellent bitter saison.
