Golden blond beer with a beautiful firm, white head and an aroma of vanilla, white pepper and some fruity scents. The main palate is soft sweet, creamy with a moderate alcohol impression. The aftertaste, on the other hand, is softly bitter with flavors of stone fruits, mainly peach and nectarine. In short, a tasteful and gentle blond with a complaisant character.

Bottle @ home. Clear golden color, full sized dense white head that lasts for a long time and leaves fair lacing. Smell malts, a touch of herbs or spices, a slight touch of yeast and some fruits. Taste malts, lightly some kind of fruityness, nicely bitter and again a slight peppery touch. Maybe a touch of alcohol on the tongue in the finish as well. Good body, medium to full carbonation.

At the Belgian Beer Weekend in Osaka. 7.5% gold color, thick fluffy head. A Belgian Strong Ale with an aroma of fruit over a grassy malt base. The flavor is kind of odd, mild spice, grain, fruits. Very nice but wholly unexpected, I suspect they use some unusual grains in the mash. I like it, it kind of reminds me of coup de grisou. Possibly they use buckwheat...? It had a kind of spicy peppery note I enjoyed.

Bottle 330ml.Clear medium to light dark yellow colour with a large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, moderate hoppy, moderate yeasty, fruity, pale spices, yeast, eastry, light coriander. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, spicy yeast, fruity. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20130104]

Bottle. It pours a small, off-white head over a lighlty unclear golden body. Lighlty yeasty aroma with fruityness and white sugar. Alcohol notes too, which grows quite stronger in the mouth. Warming and full-bodied, with flavors of white sugar, fruityness, a spiced hint and some peach hints. Some bitterness. Sugary, fruity finish. Well, it’s far from the best Belgian beer I’ve had, but it’s drinkable and pretty drinkable. 130516

Bottle at De Zotte, Amsterdam. Pours hazy yellow with a big off white head. Aroma of yeast, citrus, dough, light fruits. Flavour is light moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
