Draught @ Mikkeller & Friends, Stefansgade 35, Copenhagen, Denmark 2200. [ As Cycle Buddy Shots BA Jameson ].Clear dark brown colour with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, bread, toasted - roasted, chocolate, dark malt, dates - figs, alcohol - whisky. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, chocolate, figs - dates, alcohol - whisky. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Bottle thanks to William. Pours a very dark brown with small tan head that lasts. The aroma is strong whiskey, licorice, wood, roast. Medium body, dark chocolate, spice, wood, licorice, boozy finish, enjoyed this.

(On tap @ Mikkeller and Friends, Copenhagen, May 9/17) Pours black with a small tan ring of head. Aroma of molasses, dark fruit, Irish whiskey, umami, burnt sugar, roasted grain, subtle vanilla, maybe some spice, weird thing that recalls pub food - some strange sensory association?! Flavour is very sweet molasses, dark fruits, treacle, dark barley wine feel, wood, sweeter whiskey, light liquorice, some burnt grain but low roastiness overall. Spirit heat in the finish is all that really dries it. Medium-full body, a bit syrupy, soft carbonation. This is just too sweet relative to its roast for my tastes, the flavours are good but the drinkability low.

Draught @ Mikkeller & Friends. Pours pitch black with a small brown head. Aroma of roasty malts, sweet whisky, oak, wood and syrup notes. Taste is sweet, sticky and syrupy with some roastiness, loads of whisky, oak and woody notes. Finish is sweet, sticky and slightly stuffy with some syrup, wood, oak, toffee and caramel notes. Heavy and sweet.
