Ekstra Draught is the legendary pale lager beer of Svyturys which undergoes microfiltration rather than pasteurisation before it is bottled and therefore retains it qualities of live beer. The golden brown beer stands out with its thick white foam, well rounded flavour, rich, smooth, long-lasting taste with a slight hint of the bitterness of hops. Many surveys have showed this top-quality beer to be Lithuanias hot favourite.

Bottle from Prince International Supermarket, Ashford. Pale gold lasting white head. Aroma reminds me of continental lagers I had when a child. EVen some lemon on the aroma. First beer of the day always tastes good. This has a little syrupy malt. But otherwise it’s clean, lemony and perfectly fine.

Bottle from Continental Food Store, Wakefield. Golden-yellow with an extremely thin head. Has an ordinary lager nose, and similar in taste, although it has an easy-drinking texture for its strength.

Colour clear pale golden, good white frothy head, disappears after a while, minimal lacing. At first strong hoppy nose, aroma develops into more malty sweetness, bread, grass, leaves, Flavour soft bittersweet, bit grainy. Medium body, slick feel, lively carbonation, soft taste continues in mild dry finish, clean, smooth.

Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass zippy, small head. Starts mild, malty, a bit metallically. Monoton dry hoppy notes. Finish boring malty. Okay.

Bottle from Kubus (EE Corner Shop), Bedford. Mountain Dew coloured, some carbonation, no head. Grassy/woody/papery/lemony smell. Taste is reasonably pleasant. Sweet with a slightly bitter tinge. Finish is slightly gooey and astringent at the same time. Ok, not as bad as the ratings suggest, but still not great.

0,5L bottle (as a gift). Pours clear golden with white head. The head stays for some moments. Aroma is sweet, malty, grainy with a hint of corn. Flavor follows the nose. Overall: drinkable, rather bland and not offending macro helles.
