Ekstra Draught is the legendary pale lager beer of Svyturys which undergoes microfiltration rather than pasteurisation before it is bottled and therefore retains it qualities of live beer. The golden brown beer stands out with its thick white foam, well rounded flavour, rich, smooth, long-lasting taste with a slight hint of the bitterness of hops. Many surveys have showed this top-quality beer to be Lithuanias hot favourite.

Bottle. Clear golden color with a medium bubbly white head. Aroma of DMS, a bit of cardboard hints, and light grassy hops notes in the background. Sweetish flavor, a bit grainy, a bit corny, with a bit of bready notes, very short, with almost no finish and just a faint bitter note. Light-bodied. Might be somewhat refreshing on a hot day, but very bland

500ml bottle. Pours gold with a small head. Aroma is corn and sweaty beef. Taste is bready malt to start with a grainy finish. Nice lager.

Can at Deanso’s Den Haag April RB tasting. Poured a clear light straw colour with a thin broken head. The aroma was a little malty leading to a medium bitter, malty flavour. A drinkable beer. Better than average when I wasn’t expecting much.

Bottle thanks to Vaiz. Clear golden color, no real head. Smell and taste malts, some sweetness, grains, hay. Decently fresh and easy drinkable. Nice beer imo.

Bewertung aus 2012 Eine interessante Biertype: Dortmunder Lager. Ich war zwar schon dort...in Dortmund, aber mir wäre kein Stadt-typischer Bierstil dort aufgefallen und ich weiß auch nicht was man in Litauen darunter versteht. Am ehesten erinnert mich der Geschmack an ein Kölsch: wenig Kohlensäure und sehr süffig. Zwar keine Spezialität, aber ein gutes Bier für einen angenehmen Abend.
