A timeless classic. We have been brewing Ottakringer Helles ever since the brewery was established. It has been in a constant state of change and has developed its taste with time: The best hops and malt, and mild spring water from our in-house brewery well provide an even balance between a light malt aroma with fruity notes and pleasant bitterness. The straw colour and fresh yeast aroma are trademarks of this beer.

0,5 l can. Pours clear golden with medium, quickly dissipating white head. Aroma is grasdy and grainy, somewhat stale. Taste is medium sweet and low bitter. Body is thin. Finish is short and unremarkable. Not my taste, at least its not offensive.

Aroma:Alcohol and malt.
App:Golden colour with medium white head.
Taste:Grass
Palate.Medium body and carbo.
Overall:I guess I won’t be drinking this one that often during my semester in Vienna.

Klare goldgelbe Farbe; gemischtporige relativ flüchtige Schaumkrone. In der Nase frisch, leicht hellfruchtig, ziemlich getreidig und leicht grasig-hopfig. Im Geschmack rund, leicht kernig-würzig und hellmalzig, frisch, sehr schlanker Körper, relativ trocken, etwas Hopfenbittere. Insgesamt ein solides und sehr süffiges Helles.

Bottle. Pours gold. Stale aroma, taste is pretty watery, some grassiness. Nothing to see here.

Can from the lcbo. Clear golden pour, with a small white head. Pale cereals, quite grassy, light minerals, wet paper. Mouth feel is bright, slightly thin, soft carb. Finish is mealy, more grass, light fruity undertones, light bitterness.

A classical beer, on the German way, on the same way of the Feld original, better in my point of view with something more subtle. 01.03.2020, drinking it in the zoological park in Wien, after a nice day in family.
