A reddish amber bitter, malty but with refreshing hoppy high notes on the taste. RIP Snorter is brewed with the finest English pale malt combined with some crystal malt and a touch of chocolate malt. Then we add a combination of local Fuggles and Golding hops at three stages during the copper boil.

Bottle 0.5l at home, Tampere. Enjoyed straight from the bottle. Aromas and flavours: Some fruits, some caramel, some malts... weak actually.

Bottle from Waitrose. Pours a clear reddish amber colour with a medium sized creamy off-white head. Aromas of caramel, toasty bread and dark fruit. Taste has more dark fruit, caramel, toasty bread with added roasted malts, leafy hops and a touch of chocolate and nuts. Medium to full body with a smooth oily mouthfeel. Earthy hop on a long slightly roasty and bittersweet finish. Very nice flavourful beer.

Bottle from Redh. Appearance - copper to amber. Beige head. Nose - toffee, brown bread. Taste - caramel mainly, light biscuit or bread. Palate - close to medium bodied, too sweet for the style. Overall - needs some malt and hop bitterness on the finish.

500ml bottle, thanks to Finn for sharing. Good looking with a clear copper coloured body, low pearl white head leaving upper part lacing behind. Promising smell of leafy hops and caramel malts. Rich and well balanced taste character of dark caramel, nuts, and leafy hops. Rounded bittersweet finish. Fine depth. Enjoying ESB version. (Rating session with Finn, Imojoh and djoeye, Tromsø 15.04.2020).
