Ciao!! In honour of our 20th anniversery, we brewed in collaboration with Bruno Carillo (Brewery Toccalmatto) and Ken Fisher (Grateful Deaf)a Collaboration Brew. This brew is a heavy Stout, also known as a Russian Imperial Stout, with as an extra some Curacao peels and smoked malts. This results in a thick and full beer which is almost syruppy in its flavor, with fruity, smoked and toasted hints. The royal use of Zythos and Simcoe hops make the beer even more tasty!! Or, like Ken says it: 'We love hops!'

Bottle at home. Aroma is roasted malt, caramel, some smoke and ash, fruity hops, chocolate, coffee, liquorice. Flavour is sweet with a nice hopppy bitterness in the finish. Some alcohol noticeable. Body is full. I don’t taste the promised oranges, but even without them this is a delicious Imperial Stout. Lots of liquorice and roast, fruity hops with coffee and chocolate notes. Delicious.

Bottled 28H15. A very full RIS, quite hoppy, very creamy. Orange shines through a bit, giving some dry fruityness. Not smoked at all.

(Draught at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 18 Sep 2016) Black colour with creamy beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of coffee, liquorice, anise and hints of smoke. Malty, roasted taste with liquorice, anise, a touch of smoke, black coffee and a generous roasty bitterness. Full body, with a certain sweetness. Quite powerful and quite bitter. Nice one.

Bottle at home, black beer, medium head. Aroma is hoppy, fruit, malts, chocolate, some smoked. Taste is the same. The aroma hints to a black IPA IMO, very nice.

Bottle at home. Black with rich creamy, sticky, caramel tan head. Looks like a melted marshmallow on top. Deep roasted sweet chocolate malts. Some marshmallow sweetness actually, dark chocolate, dark fruit, liquorice, melasse, ash, liquid smoke, light alcoholic/boozy, hop bitterness. Over medium sweet, medium bitter. Full body, slick and fat. Some spiciness in the finish, alcohol+hops probably, quite carbonated for the style. Lovely smokiness.
