Bottle at Koen & Tamara's place.
A: clear dark golden, small, off-white head (?).
A: apple, coriander, soggy bread.
T: sweet apple, soapy coriander, wheat.
F: grassy hops, soap, soap.
P: medium body, slick texture, average carbonation.
Downright confusing: labeled as 'Rouge', described as 'amber' on their website, experienced as a soapy blonde. When you call it a Rouge, at least give me the red candy profile I oh so yearn for. You okay, Fort Lapin?

Appearance: cloudy deep golden to amber with a good white frothy head. Aroma: Spicy and fruity yeast, malt, candy. Taste: same profile. Additional floral hop. Light to medium sweet, light bitter. Mouth feel: medium body, average to lively carbonation. Overall: not bad as a single Belgian ale. By no means a Dubbel.

Bottle. Pale amber color. caramel and floral hops in the aroma. Caramelly sweetish flavor with a hint of pear. Sticky. Not really exciting, but a decent beer.

Robijnrood bier met mooie schuimkraag. Smaak is licht bitteerzoet en kruidig met een wat vreemde bijsmaak. Lijkt iets van metaal. Vind dit maar een matig bier voor een dubbel.

Bottle @ home. Amber color, medium sized head white head. Smell and taste malts, somewhat malt bitter. There's something else but I can't figure out what it is. Decent to medium body and carbonation. Quite useful this beer.

Bottle from LDW, Eke. Hazy red/brown colour, white foam. Hints of caramel, bread, spices. Too spicy to be balanced. Not very nice.

Pours a hazy orange amber colour with a medium sized foamy beige head. Aroma is spicy and fruity, some malt, citrus and a mild yeastiness. A moderately sweet fruit and malty taste, some spicy yeasty and metallic flavours with a dry herbal bitter finish.

F: average size, creamy, light tan, good retention. C: amber, hazy. A: malt, grassy, floral, hint of fruity. T: malt, hint of red fruits, grassy, hint of herbal, dry bitterness on the palate, medium body, medium carbonation, I haven’t found any information about this beer and add this as a fruity but I am not sure if it is just normal Belgian ale according to taste, 0,33l bottle from Carrefour market - Saint-Michel @ Etterbeek, Brussels.

330ml bottle [Westflandern-Ostwestfalen import by bartlebier - dank je wel!]. Minimally cloudy, copper colour with small, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Weak, fruity aroma, hints of rose hip and hibiscus, minimally toasty, bready, malty basis. Taste is initially dry, minimally floral fruity, hints of hibiscus and rose hip, later moderately sweet and intensely fruity, notes of cherry, slightly artificial hints of ’Haribo Happy Cherries’.
