Mikkeller er klar med endnu en IPA, der ikke er bange for at leve op til navnet. Humlen er som den skal være: aromatisk, amerikansk og aggressiv, så man ikke er i tvivl om hvad man nyder. For nyde er hvad Green Gold ligger op til. Karamelmaltens sødme og fylde danner en lækker bund, der rammer smagsløgene, inden humleeksplosionen sætter ind, og som rydder op igen, og balancerer det samlede indtryk, så man kun har lyst til én ting, nemlig endnu en tår. De lækre amerikanske humler simcoe, amarillo og cascade giver masser af citrusnoter, men kæler også for din tunge med fersken og grannuancer samt masser af friskhed.

330ml bottle from JB's Brewhouse in Jersey, UK. Pours brown with a off white head. Aromas & tastes of citrus, green fruit, pine, flora, herbs & honey. Medium body. Dry medium to strong bitter finish. Very enjoyable

Murky brown pour, big beige head, very sticky lacing. Aroma is a hoppunch to the face. Soapy, resinous, and some good chewy malts. Flavor is pungent and the bitterness is quite strong, but it fades quickly to a light citrus sweetness.

Aroma of grapefruit, pine, malt, resin, orange, tropical fruits, hops. Flavour is moderate sweet with a medium bitter finish. Good body and mouthfeel. Nice resinous IPA.

Poured from the tap. Hazy orangey brown with small off white head. Biscuit malt, underlying pine and grapefruit hops. Old school IPA.

100ml (ordered after NY girls convinced the bartender to do half pours, hehe) shared with Ryan sitting at the bar and talking to the Mikkeller employees. Appearance: hazy copper with a white head. Aroma: caramel and some piney hops. Taste: along the same lines, quite bitter. Dry and crispy. Overall: ok.

330 ml bottle. Pours cloudy hazy dark amber with a fluffy head. Resin, pine, caramel and toffee, intense hoppy notes, grapefruit zest, some mango and papaya, overripe strawberries. Intense hoppy bitterness, malty caramel sweetness. Full bodied, oily texture, soft carbonated, long intense hoppy bittersweet finish. Great classic West Coast IPA.

gebraut für die Proef Brouwerij aus Lochristi-Hijfte in Belgien Eine Flasche, die irgendie durch meine Aufzeichnungen gerutscht ist und ich nicht mehr weiß, ob es abgelaufen war (es war auch kein MHD irgendwo zu finden). Beim Öffnen strömte mir bereits der Schaum aus der Flasche entgegen. Auch schwammen einige grauslich aussehende Hefebrocken im Bier herum. Da ich bereits schlechte Erfahrungen mit alten BIeren habe, schüttete ich es nach einem Verkostungsschluck ins Klo. Geschmacklich dominiert die Hopfenbittere und die BItterkeit allgemein. Dabei bleibt so gut wie kein Platz für andere feine Aromen, was aber ganz gut war, da es sonst eher muffig war.
