Clear golden colour, minimal white head; aroma of hay, corn and some grass; taste of a watery lager - I’m really sorry those people who believe that it is a pilsner and not a poor quality pale lager

12 oz bottle pour. Pours a light transparent golden color with a skunky grain aroma. Mild bready flavor with some corn and grain. Semi refreshing, though empty finish. Interesting beer, glad I tried it, but nothing special here.

500ml can. Pours a very pale blond with a small white head and looks rather good in a pils glass. Bit of lacing. Aroma of grass, grain and dust. Taste is similar. On the can it says "Best Mediterranean beer in the world", which is a very loud statement. This is the beer you will probably drink when on holiday in Turkey. Efes Dark is better.

Turkey is clearly no beer country, but since it is close to Europe, they do have this standard lager primarily for tourists, with a cream white, regular, moussy head and purely golden, cristal clear robe. Malt sweetness in the nose, grainy, rice, iron, grass, unfortunately lightstruck as well, and a weird smokey, sulphuric accent. Simple taste of sweetish pale malts with rice adjunct (like a Far East lager), medium carbonation, thin mouthfeel, bit metallic, mild grassy hops in the finish. Thirst-quenching if you’re at a Turkish hotel in summer I suppose, but just as boring as most of its congeners.
