22oz bottle pours with a clear perfectly gold body that supports a near white head of foam. So I thought this was an IPA tick and had I noticed when I bought this it was a lager I likely would have passed on it. The aroma offers up some sweetness, some lagery yeasty fruity esters, tart hoppy grapefruit and then a light peach cotton candy sensation. The taste delivers firm hop notes like grapefruit citrus hops and a peach to slightly mango note. Well behind the hops lurks some soft sugary notes mixed with some lagery yeasty fruity esters. This has a nice bitter hoppiness up front to keep it light and refreshing well above the lagery sweetness. Very glad I didn’t notice this was a lager at the time of purchase.

Draft at the brewery taproom - Temecula. I fear there was something slightly amiss with the glass of this beer I tried. It wasn’t bad but there were characteristics I would not have expected. Fairly sweet with dried cereal, there are also notes of green pepper and hay. Huh. Lots of odd green pepper notes. Still tasty but I can’t imagine this is as intended.

Bomber from CraftShack. Pours light translucent gold with a slight creamy white head. Aroma is weird fruit fantastic. Med body, at least. Flavor is lots of mixed fruits, but there’s a burnt rubber aspect as well. I’m a bit confused by that, but it’s working very well for a guy who is on the last of several beers. It’s like South Sea weird herb/veg/fruit. Not a bad thing. Very different flavors. Different is good.
