Hazy golden coloured body with a three centimetre tall pure white head that fades fairly quickly. Aroma of fresh grassy and perfumey hops with some mellow sugars and way more grassy elements right behind with dry straw and flowers throughout. Medium-bodied; Assertive grassy and herbal flavours with some mellow bitterness from the dry hops, a bit of biscuity and grainy malt and a pungent bitterness from the hops noticeable at the end. Aftertaste shows some dry herbs, a lot of grass and flowers with a big hop bitterness, but no balance and too bitter of a floral finish that doesn’t show any sugars or malt near the end, just dry and bitter. Overall, a decent beer that is probably overshadowed because it’s produced by Anchor, but this isn’t a great IPA nor one that shows any sort of balance. I love the brewery, but this just isn’t a great IPA. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 26-November-2016 for US$1,69 sampled at home in Washington on 10-January-2017.

(bottle, 33.5cl) Hazy, orange-golden colour with a big and blond foamy head. Slightly biscuity malty aroma with notes of caramel, accompanied by fruity and slightly piney hoppy accents, including hints of grapefruits and orange zests. Moderately bitter and delicately sweet flavour, medium bodied with a smooth carbonation. Dry malt character with notes of bread, caramel and drying resiny and mildly fruity hops towards the finish. Surely likeable but not over the top. 01.I.17
