Throughout Northern Europe, light-bodied, well-hopped, low alcohol table beers were often the beverage of choice with all meals at times and in places where the water wasn’t always safe to drink. Le Petit Prince is a dry, unspiced, highly attenuated Farmhouse Table Beer unique to our land in the Texas Hill Country. Naturally occurring wild yeasts impart a sense of place to this unfiltered, unpasteurized, 100% naturally conditioned ale.
Admin Note: In October 2013 Jester King began brewing this beer using indigenous wild yeast and souring bacteria. All bottles/cans from Batch 11 onward should be under this rating.

From tap at Oersoep Craft Beer Festival. Aroma of fruits, citrus, lemon, light malt, some yeast. Flavour is moderate to medium sour. Nicely refreshing and easy drink, well made low ABV Saison-ish beer.

Can from The Beer Cave. Clear pale golden body with a white head. Lively carbonation. Patchy lacing. Aroma of salt and lemon. Flavour of minerals and lemon peel. Thin body with a slick texture. Soft fizz. Crisp and salty.

Canned 3/6/23, drunk 7/15/23. Clear, pale-golden. Large white head recedes to a creamy cover. Lovely lactic acidity, rustic grains, herbal hops and clean, mineral rich water. Low ester with big black pepper. Soft, malty clean with excellent depth of malt and tons of black pepper. Good attenuation, low but ample acidity. Very, very drinkable and flavorful.

Can - hazy light gold - lightly tart, moderately bitter, lightly funky, lightly peppery - bitter and peppery finish, with light floral notes and mild funk - decent, but would like a little more nuance.

Slightly hazy pale straw body, medium off-white head. Effervescent carbonation. Nose light and estery with notes of grape, apple, pear, and dough. Body has an initial sharp bite, with a delicate flavor profile of bread dough, grape, banana, lemon, clove, and crackers. The mouthfeel rounds out after the initial spritziness. This seems to be the perfect beer in this niche.
