A perfectly balanced ale, characterised by its fresh hoppy taste and a clean bitter finish. The Official Beer of England Rugby, Greene King IPA is now the fastest selling cask ale in the UK.

Abv reduced from 3.6% to 3.4% in September 2023 “to help the company combat rising costs while maintaining the same crisp flavor of the beer”.

Harat’s stand, Opatovina beer fest, courtesy of Domagoj V., G., and Ogivlado. Poured an old gold body, slightly darker, with a small white head. Dry aroma, herbal touch. Smooth empty dryish taste, vague herbal note, vague maltiness. This is just useless, even for the strength.

Bottle from supermarket. Pale Amber colour with a shite head. Malty caramel, aroma and taste though it’s a touch dull.

At Maakun’s. Shared can. Dark gold, clear light brown with thin whit head. Smells sweet, caramel, dry bitter, tea, leaves, cardboard. Medium bitter, light sweet. Little to none carbonation.

Can shared thanks to sjogro. Clear amber, lasting white head. Wort, lots of caramel, tea, light peach, some grassy hops. Under medium sweet and light bitter. Under medium bodied with weird slick feel and no carbonation. Don’t like it at all.

Cask @ Fleming Arms, Southampton. Unclear deep golden body with a small off-white head. Not much aroma here, hint of malt and caramel. Flavor is light and smooth malt, some caramel, light fruity with a hint of dry fruit and very moderate bitterness. Medium body and short aftertaste. Smooth with no faults, but to light and smooth for my likings.

Cask in Cairns, Argyle St. Clear amber with a decent creamy head. Slight aroma of cereal, grass, taste is sweet, creamy with a little fruity hop in there somewhere. Pretty bland tbh

Clear amber beer with a decent white head. Not much aroma. There’s a bit more going on in the taste with some tangy fruit and a bit of hop though it all dissipates quite quickly. Alright, but boring.

On cask. Amer body, no head. Aroma and taste of toast, floral hops, orange zest, grains and butter. Light bodied and flat. OK, but kinda weak.
