Bottle shared at the John/Jim tasting. Clear brown with a ring off white head. Aroma of caramel, rich toffee, cheesy malts and fudge. Flavour is above moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

33cl bottle shared at the Jim/John is back tasting thin off white head. Very hazy amber pour. Not very smokey at all. A very nice beer

Draught. Frothy White fair mostly deminishing head. Red-amber colour. Moderate malty and hoppy aroma. Nice smoked notes. Heavy biter nice smoked flavor. Long heavy bitter finish. Creamy palate.

On tap at Jonas Craft Bar, Budapest. Dark brown, small tan head. Smoke is soon lost due to basement aromas, and green apple. This is spoiled? Roasty, smoked, dry fruits, alcohol presence. Smoked wood finish. Medium body, quite creamy. Strange.

330ml bottle at home courtesy of Cuso, many thanks. BB 12/2014. brown / redish hazy color, small tan head. smells of malty roast, light sweetness, very light smoke notes, some dried fruits, smells creamy, light bacon, spices, sherry notes. full body, soft slick carbonation, creamy mouthfeel. tastes lightly malty roasty, some sweetness, very subtle smoke notes, some bacon, spices, a bit liqueurish, dried fruits, plums, caramel, acidic, light citric notes, chestnuts. finishes with light malty roast, some sweetness, liqueurish notes and dark fruits. good stuff, very subtle smoke notes, but drinks quite nice.

33cl bottle @ Berlin Braufest 2015. BB 17-03-2016. Cuivrée, col fin blanc-cassé. Arôme est malté et fumé modéré sur un rétro de caramel léger, je retrouve cette impression d’effluves de bbq assez plaisantes. Palais est léger, malté fumé, pointe de chocolaté avec un profil fumé persistant sans pour cela être trop dominant ni surfait. Fini un eu collant aux lèvres avec un alcool qui devient plus réchauffant sur la fin. On reste cependant plus proche d’une inspiration allemande que porter. Amertume reste plus discrète et impacte peu l’accent fumé de cette bière.

Bottle @ IF Cafe, Budapest. Pours dark brown with a creamy tan head. Aroma of malt, light caramel, little peat, smoke, mild smoked ham. Flavor is light sweet, malty, caramel, smoke, little peat, ham, bacon. Medium body, average carbonation. 290315

Tap at Szimpla Kávézó, Budapest. Poured a clear dark brown with a frothy light tan head. The aroma is roasted malt, light smoke. The flavour is moderate bitter with a roasted creamy malt, burnt toffee, liqourice bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
