Bomber. Pour is a beautiful hazy copper with a three finger head that leaves plenty of thick lacing - it sure does look nice! Aroma is of floral grassy hops and citrus (grapefruit?). Flavor is full on hops; grassy and pine resinous with some citrus. Somewhat hefty caramel malt balances it all out. Medium carbonation, easy to drink IPA. These wont be around long.

Re-rate 12/12: Bottle sample at a tasting at Dagan’s place. Thanks beerandbeyond. Slightly hazy dark orange-amber. Piney, grapefruity and slightly resinous aroma. Flavor has a bit of malt sweetness and quite a bit of hops, piney and citric, with a bitter lingering finish. Medium-bodied. 7/3/7/3/14=3.4

(11/3/08) Bottle sample at a tasting in Pizza Port in Carlsbad (thanks whoever). Deep amber color with a white head. Aroma of piney hops, some earthy notes and some malt and citrus hints. Bottle. Pours orange with a big white head. Blood orange, marzipan and grapefruit notes in the aroma. The flavor has got some serious grape-bitterness. Also some sweet caramel. Some not so nice soap-like notes.

750 ml green waxed-dipped bottle. 2011 release. Aroma--now that is green! nice fresh hop aroma. I’m also getting some earthiness, floral, citrus. Pours a lightly hazy orange-copper with a large beige head with great retention and lace. Taste starts out briefly sweet before a wave of bitterness kicks it aside and leaves it crying in the gutter. Tastes fresh. The finish is long and bitter. Carbonation is average and the mouthfeel is creamy. It’s really good, but I was hoping it was going to be awesome.

Bottle in NYC at Sander’s apartment, shared with Sander and Dave on the Sunday morning before I flew back to London. As Sander said, "You know you’re living large when this is what you drink on Sunday morning." Beer pours a rich gold, clear, with a fluffy, off-white head. Toasty malts in the nose, fresh grapefruit. Medium sweet flavor, toast, light caramel, big and oily bitterness, light earth, very resinous, ripe citrus. Medium to full in body with average carbonation. Sticky hop finish, huge resinous character, oils, some toasty sugar. So smooth and so very drinkable. Great balance. Great beer.

On tap at the Pony Bar, NYC. Pours an orange-brown with a medium beige head. Nose of hefty hops and some mild malt sweetness. Flavor is nicely balanced blend of hops and malts, perhaps a bit heavier on the hops. Piney, citrusy hop notes with some sweet, malty toffee flavors. Mildly bitter from the hops and still crispl. Clean, tasty finish. Solid IPA.
