Bouteille 33cl, shared with the SHAPE crew, thanks Mark.

On tap at What’s Brewing. It pours a small, off-white head over a lightly unclear amber colored body. Ginger, cardamom and caramel in the aroma. The flavor has some sweetness, but it’s actually rather dry on the palate. Ginger, cardamom and caramel too. Some bitterness towards the end. Medium body and a pleasant carbonation level. Lasting spiced finish. Not bad at all, but it could use some more spices I think. 141031

Pours dark coper. Not clear, not hazy. Only a small layer of foam. Aroma is bittersweet, slightly spicy. Taste is spicy as well, fills mouth with ginger bitterness, giving this beer an extra dimension. Aftertaste resembles some gingerbread, more ginger and cloves. Exciting seasonal brew, perfect for harvesting times.

Hazy deep amber color. Big spicy pumpkin pie nose. Perfumy, malty, a lot of cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves. Not too sweet, perhaps a bit over spiced, but nicely balanced and drinks much lighter than 6.7%. Good stuff.

33 cl bottle @ home. Batch #025, BBE 30.03.2015
Aroma has – surprisingly – pumpkin. Also some sweet malty & toffee notes. Flavour has fruits, sweet toffee, pumpkin and some apricot. Finishes with some mild hoppy tones. Not so strong on pumpkin as many other beers of this season – and I find it hard to locate the other spices listed. From my point of view that is not a bad thing though.

Bottle at Drink Baar, Tallinn. Reddish color, small off-white head. Aroma is bready with berries and pumpkin. Medium-bodied. Berryish, sweetish caramel and pumpkin. Reasonably drinkable pumpkin ale.

33cl bottle from Drink Shop, Tallinn. Pours clear deep amber with a decent off-white head. Spicy aroma with pumpkins, cinnamon, caramel and hints of cloves and ginger. Sweet, flavourful and quite well balanced. Vinous, warming and nice one for the darker months of the year. Pumpkin flavour is pretty mild and spices are dominating. Would work quite well as a Christmas beer to for me.

0,33L bottle, Batch 25, BB 30.03.15. Pours red amber with off-white head. The head stays for some moments. Aroma is spicy, clove, cinnamon, ginger, pepper, pumpkins. Flavor is sweet, spicy, clove, cinnamon, ginger, caramel, pumpkins. Finish is also spicy. Overall: I would prefer less spice and more pumpkin, but otherwise I like it. It’s really easy to drink. I also tried it from the tap (at Hopner) and it was rather similar, maybe a little bit less spicy. Bottle, batch 124, BB 05.10.16. Similar to the last years, but flavor has unpleasent corn elements and the spices are even more intense this time around. It also seemes sweeter. 7:3:6:3:11=3 for 2015 batch. Maybe it’ll improve with some age (the spices should mellow after all).
