Barba is a light Pale Ale style of beer, light and drinkable. It is moderately hopped with Cascade, Columbus, Mosaic and Simcoe hops. Each hop is carefully balanced to offer a blend of floral, grapefruit, piney and citrusy aromas. A light sweet body, along with a mild hoppy bitterness, creates a refreshing zesty ale, ideal s a first beer if you are getting into craft beers. Keep it cool and drink fresh.
Initially brewed with Centennial, Chinook and Columbus. Since April 2025 changed from 5.4% to 5% and produced at Zmajska pivovara.
Previous description:
BARBA Pale Ale is the headlining beer coming out of First Local Craft Brewery called LAB Split. Barba is product of years of home-brewing experience and testing. Idea behind the BARBA was to create American Pale Ale best suited for hot Mediterranean summers. You can expect dry to medium body, leaving smooth sweetness mouth-feel, combined with bitter touch of carefully selected American Hops (Centennial, Chinook and Columbus) with silky bitter aftertaste produced by process of first wort hopping.
Centennial - Medium with floral and citrus tones,
Chinook - Mild to medium-heavy, spicy, piney, and grapefruity,
Columbus - Earthy, citrus & spicy

Tap at Fakin. Very easy drinking, tasty juicy refreshing APA. Focus on hops, well attenuated, crisp fruity zesty hops flavours, moderate bitterness, soft sweetish maltiness in the background. Very good.

Pours hazy copper body with small white head. Smell is refreshing, hoppy and fruity with a hint of caramel. Medium body, softly carbonated with thick and oily texture. Pleasantly bitter taste. Slightly sticky. Aroma of caramel malts, yeast, hops, citrus fruit; mostly mango. A touch of spiciness and licorice. Dry and lasting bitter finish. Overall, nice one. Tasty.
