Zambezi Lager was traditionally positioned as the “tourists brand” since its launch in 1992 but given the decline in the tourism industry over the years this positioning lost relevance, and inevitably the brand was alienated from the local consumer.

Tried this at Vic Falls. Typical world pale lager, meeting minimum requirements to be a drinkable beer. Hadn't suffered from light damage due to green bottle. Slightly more bitter than sweet, strong carbonation. Served the purpose.

Beers of the World country 132: Zimbabwe 🇿🇼
"The beer is clear golden in colour with a very thin foam head. It doesn’t smell of much other than a little malt. Luckily there is more taste than smell. Starts of with a malty bitterness before it ends on the sweet side. Very short finish though as the sweetness dissipates. Not the best African beer, but not the worst either." - beersoftheworldproject.wordpress.com

Cotts 2019. Grainy aroma. Pale gold. Frothy white head. Light sweet with some underlying sweetness and grains. Light. Thin. Soft-fizzy carbonation. Abrupt finish. Had worse.

Shared at the Cotteridge convention 2019. Poured a clear light golden colour with a bubbly white head. The aroma is grainy malt, hay, light hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a light, watery malt, light woody hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation.
