Unclear bright yellow body, with no head or lacing. Aromas: mimosa, pine needles, leaf, chanterelles, anise and incense. Flavours: soap, leather, billberry, redcurrant, blackcurrant, elderberry, honey and willow. It’s always interesting and exciting to try new brews from Labietis, as they’re always very complex and different. -Not made for binge drinking and perfect to share, as it’s always fun to discuss aroma and flavour with others. This 750ml bottle from Labietis, Riga, I shared, discussed and rated with my favourite ratebeerians: Rune, Finn, Stefan and Jan Erik (XXXVI Rating Session ,Tromsø 18.06.14.)

750ml swing-top bottle, kindly shared by Elisabeth at a rating session. Bubbly surface to a cloudy, pale golden body. Perfumed fruity aroma added by sweet berries. Comprehensive taste profile with hints of anise, leafy hops and honey followed by a mild tartness to the ending. Medium bodied. Different and drinkable (Tromsø 18.06.2014).

Flaske 0,75l fra Riga. Spandert av Elisabeth og delt i godt selskap på Nerstranda 18 Jun 14. 0 skum. Klumpsedimenter. Ser ut som mislykket eplejuice. Komplisert aroma av honning, mose & lyng. Dette forsterkes i smaken hvor en føler seg hensatt midt uti skogen. Harpiks. Selje. Innholdsrik - men mer interessant enn god.
