Bottle pour shared by AdamChandler--thanks Adam!--at Camp Tasting Finale! Murky gold-light brown, ring of head. Aroma is strong tart fruit, light funk, mango. Taste is strong tart fruit, funky. Thick, frothy texture, soft carbonation, finish as taste. Decent complexity, strength and balance. Well crafted.

At Fofa in Vermont in August 2016. Light, very pale straw gold in color with a nice aroma of sweet tarts and mango. The taste is acidic, almost like pickle mangos. Kind of ascerbic in the finish but a really nice beer nonetheless. 3.9-4.0

Magnum shared at the brewery, 1/19/17. Canteloupe-peachy-golden body has a very soft haze and a small, light-beige head atop that steadily recedes to a ring. Light sugars in the nose give off light honey and mix with a very soft citrus (mandarins, tangerines, lemons) and light tropical fruits. Hints of Brett waft up with a touch of wood. This is one of the softest Hill Farmsteads I’ve ever tried. Good minerality, almost chalky wine-like notes at times, with very little, if any lactic character. Lots of soft tangerine pulp notes. Light Brett lingers, with no alcohol or flaw. In the mouth it’s again very soft and understated with a lightly sweet, citrus and tropical fruit-accented, honey-like maltiness and very light lemon-lime-like Brett character. Minor tartness, light oak and wood tannin with a light but fairly engaging carbonation and good attenuation. Wouldn’t be able to pick out the mango at this point, but seems like they would have been apparent when this was fresh. Has developed very nicely and has not soured heavily at all. No alcohol or flaw. DRAUGHT! at the brewery, 8/30/24. Crazy! AND this is in insanely good shape. So much mango still. Fruity, juicy, light, playful, balanced. Incredible. Upping the rating from the magnum I had a long time ago.
