On tap at Hummel, pours a clear amber with a medium beige head. Aroma reveals a light-to-moderate old furniture-tinged smokiness, with a soft bready malt underpinning. Flavour is quite similar, with lots of old furniture smokiness, light peat, and dry bready malt base. Not the most aggressive smokiness but the malt base is solid. Very good.

Pours a beautfiul looking deep red with darker hints, still almost transparent. Medium sized, quite dense head, the slightest off-white: pretty good persistence and some lacing. Average intensity in a relatively simple, straightforward aroma: smoked notes are mainly woody (campfire, ashes) with lighter smoked ham hints, a background of nutty and slightly caramelly maltiness, a hint of floral hops. Taste notes follow the aroma closely. There's quite good taste intensity and a nicely clean flavour profile. Medium sweetness, average per style intensity in the smoked component, a bit more bitterness than usual per style, especially in a quite dry, floral hops finish. Light to medium body, average to slightly sub-average carbonation; a quite smooth easy drinker, as usual for german lagers, maybe a bit more "dryish" than others. Very nice.

Bottle from Bierkoning, Amsterdam. Blast of smoke with caramel malt, smoked bacon, campfire, toasted malt, and ash. Hint of fruits. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet and light bitter, body is medium. Just shy of Schlenkerla excellence, but very good.

A: hazy brown, thin, tan head.
A: salted bacon, herring, beef stock, soy, bread.
T: sweetish brown bread, nuts, salted bacon.
F: soft earthy hops, tobacco, nuts.
P: medium body, slick texture, average carbonation.
Very drinkable Rauchbier, albeit on the salty side.

Gents Bier Festival 2023 - Clear brown with thing head. Aroma and flavour have notes of smokey malts and leather. Light, easy to drink.

Clear red brown beer, small creamy light beige head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: nice, very smoky, soft roast, campfire, some coffee, charcoal. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: a bit sweet and malty first, caramel touch, very smoky, bitter, some roast. Aftertaste: more smoke, campfire, a bit sourish, a little off maybe?
