bottiglia 33 cl, bel cappello di schiuma cappuccino fine persistente, color marrone rosso limpido, al naso erbe aromatiche (liquore “amaro”) zucchero di canna banana malto tostato leggero liquirizia, in bocca è speziata ed emergono le erbe utilizzate zucchero di canna prugna secca uvetta rabarbaro leggero cannella, corpo medio, carbonazione decisa, amaro moderato, media secchezza. Tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours darkish brown, with fine cream foam. Aroma is intense malty, caramel, molasses. Body is fairly thick, with moderate carbonation. Taste is fairly sweet, but not excessive. Final is average.

Bottle sourced from Netto Valby and drunk at home (06/03/2022) - dark brown with a beige head. Sweet caramel malty aroma and taste, some brown sugar, light toasted malts, dark fruit, yeast, medium to light body, light spiced malty finish but metallic unfortunately. Pretty basic supermarket fayre.

0.33l bottle. Clear brown body with a ruby hue and a beige head. The beer shows fruity notes (think about orange zest, pears), some cocoa, caramel and toast from the malts and also a touch of floral hops. Medium body and carbonation. The finish lasts quite long. Nice dubbel.

Medium, beige head. Taste: Medium-strong sweet, caramel, light dried fruits, light spicy, some dark malts. Palate: Medium body. Light sticky texture. Light harsh, light warm finish.

Il parait qu'il y a du Gruut dans cette Steenbrugge...Pas violent le Gruut...Et c'est en définitive une double très classique et peu emballante qui nous est proposé ici. J'ai tout de même apprécié l'alcool qui prend des accents de whisky et qui n'est pas désagréable. Le visuel est sur un brun limpide avec une faible effervescence et une mousse brun clair disparate. Le nez est sur une alliance caramel, alcool tournant vers le whisky, banane, pomme, poire et raisin. L'ensemble manque de relief et de complexité. Le sentiment est semblable à la dégustation. Sur une texture fine, l'ensemble de la dégustation est très homogène. L'alcool, à 6,5 % sauve heureusement l'ensemble. Et d'ailleurs, lorsque celui-ci faiblit sur le final, on se retrouve avec une bière sans grand caractère. Corpulence et longueur sont juste acceptable. Dans la banalité.
