Golden, big frothy white head, light haze, streaming carb, head dissipates to thin layer
Nose of soft yeast esters, light pale fruits, slight peach, no alcohol
Taste of pale malts, dab of alcohol, little spicy, very soft fruits, dab of yeast ester, very soft citrus, a little dull though
Palate - Medium to high carb, medium body, fairly sweet. Finish as main flavour, alcohol not that noticeable, light spicy, cleans off palate
Overall - Quite easy drinking, but a bit dull overall

Short-lived white head, well-carbonated peachskin-coloured beer, hazy. Nose with mannah and rootspices, grains and a hint at jenever. Overspiced, even if I can’t place the exact spice (maybe paradiseseed?) and dry citruszeste. Finish is again quite raw-alcoholic, as (sweetish) jenever. Lots of yeastnotes, dried fruit and medicinal. Bit burning MF, but generally speaking empty palate, but for the alcohol. Rather disappointing. The old Crespin name being hollowed out furither and further. Many thanks to the Vermeersch bros!

Belgian triple style but just as much a ’bière de garde’, I suppose (a genre not easily distinguishable from Belgian ales, at least the top fermented ones). Snowy white, mousse-like, regular head that lasts, colour light blonde with vivid sparkling, lightly veiled after adding the ’fond’. Nose gets a pleasant malty sweetness and yeasty fruitiness, impressions of rye bread, coriander, blood orange, grass, apricot, white pepper; taste citrussy and some apple, sweetish, malty (in a classical honeyish and caramel-like way), a little bit resinous, fairly strong carbonisation, mineral-like, ending in a dry peppery hop bitterness and a bit of warming, wodka-like alcohol.

A blonde triple with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt light curacao, coriander, smooth. In mouth, a sweet fruity malt with light banana, cloves, not bad. On tap at Café l’olympique in Lievin , France.
