Turbo Geezer is our award-winning Double Espresso Stout bursting with aromas and flavors of Yellow Bourbon single origin espresso and bourbon vanilla. Chocolate and roasted malts on the nose blend beautifully with the peaty whisky aroma imparted by oak chips and a touch of lactose adds smoothness and roundness to the beer.

Bottle at home. Pours a black colour with a small light beige head. Aroma of coffee, roasted malt, smoke, ash and some game meat and oak. More roasted flavour of ash, dark chocolate and oak. Silky mouth feel, medium to full body and a light to medium bitterness. Very tasteful and nicely roasted.

Sampled from bottle at kermis’ German trophy tasting. Black with thin greyish head. Roasted chocolate malts, sweet coffee beans, herbs, grilled mushrooms, ink. Moderate sweet and quite earthy bitter. Medium body, very malty. Bit weird. --- Beer merged from original tick of Turbo Geezer on 30 Dec 2017 at 12:22 - Score: 6

Bottle shared thanks to kermis. Almost black with beige head. Lots of herbs, soft green coffee, light peat, some minerals, licorice, old stale coffee, light dust and roasted malts. Just medium sweet and medium bitter. Under medium bodied. Meh.

Bottle @ home. Opaque black color, medium sized beige head that lasts for a long time. Aroma is malts, heavy espresso, slightly ash, earthy. Taste malts, earthy coffee, espresso lightly, more earthy coffee, roast, slightly vegetal coffee. Beer is really on the edge, probably just over the top for someone like me who drinks very strong coffee, surely way over the top for any regular or non coffee drinker. Even I must admit that after a while I got fed up with the beer because the vegetal coffee started dominating everything and also the peated flavor started to take over. So initially I would have rated this 3.6 or so I think, but with the peat taking over, hmm unfortunately not, not my thing at all.
