Tap at NBPF. Clear dark reddish brown with creamy beige head. Licorice, sweet malts, laurel, candy, light fake milk chocolate. Under medium sweet and light bitter. Just medium bodied with slick feel. Not really my thing.

Bottle shared by Niels and Willem. Nice brown color with a red glare coming through, average to medium sized beige head. Smell and taste malts, sweetish dark malts, caramel, lightly malt bitter. Leans towards an abbey dubbel more than a traditional porter Iād say.

Deep dark brown colour, tall frothy tan head, good retention, heavy lacing. Aroma roasted malts, coffee, cocoa, caramel, liquorice. Taste medium sweet amd bitter, roasted malts, chocolate, brown sugar, burnt caramel. Bittersweet aftertaste, roasty and chocolate finish, medium body, creamy texture, average carbonation, solid porter.

On tap at Stadsbrouwhuis, Leiden - Deep ruby black body, thick beige top. Nise of coffee, burnt toast, dark chocolate. Taste along the same lines, but very light in the body. Enjoyable.

Bottle at de Boom Alkmaar, 5 cl sample. Dark color, medium frothy head. Aroma of some licorice, roast and butterscotch. Bit flowery and earthy bitterness, butterscotch and some burned caramel. Lacks a bit power and depth.

mooi bruin met rode gloed en goede volle fijne zeer licht bruine kraag. Aroma is voornamelijk mout, en dan niet zozeer de gebrande en geroosterde wat dat valt wel wat tegen, gist en zoet, licht gebrand. Smaken matig bitter, iets van koffie, metalig ook, redelijk zoet, romig mondgevoel, wel erg moutig maar totaal geen porter zoals in de meeste porters, ik mis het gebrande/geroosterde karakter... het zit er wel in maar ik vind het wat vlak/flets/gangbaar. het lijkt eerder op een moutig bockbier,, matige body, iets droge afdronk, lage co2, en zelfs iets van aceton..
