Warning: early amateur rating from brief notes that I found when cleaning out the home office.
A solid 4/10, and as far as I remember quite a sweet and sugary drink.

Bottle at Chris_o birthday bash 08. Red with thin pink head. Very sweet, like children’s sweets. Cordial aroma. Blackcurrant cordial. Fine, no off flavours, but just too sweet.

Muddy dark red with a lasting pink head. Strong blackcurrant aroma with little sign of beer. Sweet and filled with berry flavour, a touch of malt, and a slightly tart feel. Tasty drink, but not much of a beer.

(3/2/08) A draught sample shared by chris_o’s wife I think (thanks!) at Zythos Bier Festival 2008 in Sint Niklaas. Deep red color with a pinkish head. Sweet berry aroma and flavor. Light to medium body. Too sweet but nothing terrible.

Bottled. Deep reddish brown colour with small head. Aroma is very much black currants and nothing else. Flavour is black currant, some notes of yeast and grass. Aftertaste is mainly sweet blackcurrant as well as some mild notes of yeast. Not that exciting.

From tap at den tatoverede enke. Pours dark reddish with a dense purple/reddish head. Sweet raspberry fruity aroma no blackcurrants yet, light acidity. Sweet blackcurrant berry flavoured with a mild citric/acidic note towards the finish. Candy like flavour into the finish wich gradually goes a bit more woody and very minor sulphorish. Far finish holds a dry fruity blackcurrant berry note. Just what I needed!

330 ml Bottle Pours out a ligth pink topped with a white head. A nice sweet aroma of berries. I would have to guess the blackcurrant berries they are talking about above. Not to bad.
