Bottle courtesy of Hackobock. Pours viscous black with a fairly small mocha head that doesn’t leave much trace on the glass while dissiapting. Smell is malty and tiny rubbery with roasted malts, burnt caramel, toffee, charred wood, dark roast coffee, latex, moist soil, roasted hazelnuts and bourbon alcohol. Taste is sweet, bitter, malty and woody. Mouthfeel is round, astringent, slightly boozy and medium to full bodied. Finish is sweet, bitter and very tiny sour with roasty chocolaty malty, burnt wood, ash, soot, charcoal and bourbon alcohol. Bit harsh in the mouth. --- Beer merged from original tick of 18 Anniversary Edition on 14 Jul 2016 at 20:32 - Score: 7. Original review text: Bit charcoal harsh in the mouth. Hints of latex in the nose. Quite nice but has some flaws keeping it away from top scores.

Poured from a 22oz bottle. Aroma is full of rich dark chocolate notes with some lighter roast. Moderate bourbon with some medium light oak notes. A hint of alcohol spice with a bit of graham cracker. Some light vanilla notes from the barrel. Pours jet black with a medium large, thick mocha head that slowly recedes to a thin film that lingers. No lacing and moderate legs. Flavor is moderately sweet with layers of dark chocolate. Some medium light roast notes with lighter caramel and cracker notes. Some light alcohol spice with medium bitterness. Medium bourbon notes with some light oak and vanilla. Mouthfeel is full bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and medium low alcohol warmth. Overall, a really nice stout. So much nice chocolate notes with great bourbon and oak character. Ber is very nice.
