Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Aroma is caramel malt, wood, vanilla, yeast, red fruits, wine, toffee, dried fruits, raisins, with vinous notes. Flavour is sweet with a little bitterness in the finish. Body is medium to full. A nicely vinous woody Quad with lots of dried fruits and toffee malts. Good one.

Bottle at Hundholmen, Bod. Has a cloudy brown colour with a very small light brown head. Sweet aroma of caramel, butter, rye bread, liqueur and Belgian yeast. Flavour of caramel, liqour, dried fruit, brown sugar, leather and some alcohol. Has a slick mouth feel, full-bodied and a light bitterness. Sweet and rich, and a dessert on its own.

So here we are with another De Molen quad from my best RB buddy, Benzai. Tons of appreciation. This 33 cl bottle is going into a snifter, a lightish, copper offering with a small, tan head. And the scent is decent, I get some dark fruit and some influence from the barrel. I take a drink, yes, definitely a step forward. Plum, raisin, a vinous taste, a nice full mouthfeel with the alcohol contributing. I like bourbon barrels more than wine barrels but this is better than just tolerable.

Tap @ Borefts 2017. Golden color. Ripe fruit and floral notes in the aroma and flavor. Malty sweet. Bready with a hint of butter. A fluid sweetie.

Fine hazed amber pour with an off white head. Looks fine and inviting. Pleasant intensity in the aroma. Nice one for the nose. Full body and a fine balanced sweetness. Ok lasting tail. Vinous, some spices, oak, fruity and toffee in the flavor. Good complexity. Nice evening sipper.

Borefts IX. Day 1. Keg. Almost clear amber beer, good cream colour head. Light palate, smooth and semi dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Sweetish thin malts, little malt cream. Touch of Port Wine. Pleasingly tangy dried fruits and marmalade. Little ripe fruits. Trace of vanilla wood. Fruity tangy finish. Very nice, easy drinking.

14/8/18: Bottled 13-09-2017. Bit metallic at first, but that quickly disappears. Thick, very boozy, vinous. Base combines very well with the barrels, got fruity malts and vinous wine, even some acidity, plenty of wood in a dry aftertaste. Good balance, tasty.
18/9/22: Bottled 13-09-17. Cloudy dark copper, dense creamy head. Smell is yeasty, some raisins, bit of sweetness. Bit weak body, smooth, tad boozy. Taste is sweetish, and very woody. Sauternes gets through nicely, works well with the quad. Dried fruit, oak.
