WENDIGO is an evil spirit from Native American folklore. This snarling creature stalks the forests of North America with an intense craving for human flesh and is historically associated with cannibalism, murder and insatiable greed. This limited edition beer is a Black Double IPA, dry-hopped with grotesque amounts of Equinox. The roasted special malts are complemented by fruity notes of ripe papaya and fresh green pepper. With an ABV of 9,7%, this is a monster not to be messed with! Limited to 2.000 bottles // Released: January 2018

Bottle at home while watching Ash vs Evil Dead, how fitting! Dark brown with good sized fluffy beige head. Quite some deep roast, light apple, dark chocolate, grass, ash (pun intended), light fruity notes, dank hops and astringent berries. Not so sweet, medium bitter and a long lasting toasty bitter and astringent finish. Over medium bodied. Not the best Walhalla beer but decent enough. Nice mix of fruit and roast.

0.33 l bottle from 'Het Biermoment', bottled in December 2017. Clear, very dark ruby to black with a massive, foamy, stable, beige head. Sweetish, fruity-resiny and slightly roasty-malty aroma of tropical fruits, pine, blueberry and some dark chocolate. Moderately sweet, slightly bitter, not overly roasty, fairly fruity and resiny taste of tropical fruits, dark chocolate, licorice, pine, blueberry and some coffee, followed by a medium long, moderately roasty-bitter, quite hoppy-resiny and slightly earthy finish. Medium to full body, creamy and quite effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Tasty and saturating, fairly drinkable for 9.7% abv, great balance, really nice!
