WENDIGO is an evil spirit from Native American folklore. This snarling creature stalks the forests of North America with an intense craving for human flesh and is historically associated with cannibalism, murder and insatiable greed.
This limited edition beer is a Black Double IPA, dry-hopped with grotesque amounts of Equinox. The roasted special malts are complemented by fruity notes of ripe papaya and fresh green pepper. With an ABV of 9,7%, this is a monster not to be messed with!

Bottle split at L42, thanks to a Euroswap with Dutch Drebus, 05/02/18. Extremely dark mahogany brown with a decent beige covering. Nose is dusty hop, bitter roast, burnt sugar, charr, light pine needle. Taste comprises burnt toffee, charr, cocoa powder, faint tropical fruit esters, pine, dusty hop bite. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, semi drying close peppered with earthy hop bitterness. A touch raw and overly bitter for me but sippable none the less.

Bottle shared in London - thanks to Cloun. Pours clear amber with a frothy, tan head. The. Lose holds dried berries, toasted grains. Light sweet flavour with rich notes of orange rind, grains, grass, a tiny nod dried caramel. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes with citrus peel, litly toasted grains. Not bad overall.

Level 42 Bottleshare. Thanks to Cloin. Almost opaque dark brown beer, good pale head. Palate is airy, semi dry, good fine carbonation. Thin dark malts, light dry bitter dark chocolate. Some floral bitterness. Light dry finish. Bitter but drinkable.

Bottle from het Biermoment, BB 12 2018. Dark brown color, medium frothy head. Aroma of piney hops and dark fruit like blackberries, some roast and dark bread. Roasty bitterness together with dark fruit again. Bit dry roast. Decent beer, but a bit too much on the malt instead of the (right) hops.
