Bottle. Pours a clear gold with little head and aromas of euro skunk hops and a little honey buns. Flavor is a mess. Cloying honey sweetness, with a sticky edge and skunky hops. This fails on the mouthfeel and palate in a big way... Sticky and sweet doesn’t go with the Beck’s style hops at all...

Right from the green bottle into my mouth, here comes armenia. Must be pale yellow, heheh. Godd sizzle and some of that baltic pilsner thing happening here. Yes, old style cheap pilsner thing going on. Goes down fairly easy with a little tinge. Same with finish. Overall old lager effect.

Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass deep golden, nice head. Starts mild, a bit metallically, modest dry. Finish a bit unbalanced, some sourish notes. Okay, but nothing special.

33cl bottle at a café in Yerevan. Pours golden with a small white head. A bit different from all the Armenian pale lagers I tried. This actually has some bitterness and traces of hops in it. More German pilsner style than the average pale lager. Quite decent and refreshing. (Backlog from Armenia trip in 2010 - tasted: 2010-05-27)

Bottle. Pours clear pale amber with a small fizzy white head that dissipates quickly with a bit of lacing. Aroma is strong grain and corn syrup, plus some grass. Flavor is about the same, somewhat sweet, with a lightly bitter grassy/metallic finish. Other than color this feels and tastes more like a pale than a premium.

16.9 oz bottle. Aroma is corn, grain, caramel; smells malty. Pours slightly hazy old gold with a diminishing white head. Taste is malty sweet with a faint bitter edge. Carbonation is average, body medium. Too malty for me, but at least I have Armenia on the map.

12 oz bottle. Golden color, small white head. Aroma of strong white pepper and malt. Taste is bittersweet and very malty. Finally, a nice lager from a very interesting country. However, I would stick to the brandy, since it’s fantastic!

Pour is a bright yellow with a fizzy white head. Aroma is noting really maybe some grain. Flavor is sweet malts with a grassyness toward the end. Nothing really horrible about this beer and worth a try just for the novelity alone.

Bottle from T’s in Tempe, AZ. Light amber color with a foamy beige head. Grassy/fruity hop aromas. Near medium body with frothy carbonation. It’s not all that bitter, but it has the malt balanced by noble? hop. Finishes astringent. Another unique brew. Are not they all?

Bottle (thanks mom!). Golden with a big white head that diminishes slowly - looks pretty good! Aroma is rather grainy with a bit of hoppy notes and maybe some grassy hints. Sweetish flavor with a rather bitter finish with some hops and metallic hints. Light to medium body. Pretty clean and drinkable.
