A unique schizophrenic beer where you’ll face off against floral hoppy flavours up front, leading into a dry spicy bitterness on the back. Need something a bit different to wake up your taste buds? It’s time to get a FUBAR!

0.33l bottle. Hazy yellow color with huge bubbly white head. Aroma: grapefruit, pomelo, white grapes, floral, spicy. Taste: grapefruit, grapefruit peel, dry, malty. Medium body, lively carbonated, high bitterness that feels bit of unnatural.

Pint of keg at the Saracen's in Hertford. Exceptionally lively pour and it looked good in the glass. Despite the pour the beer wasn't overly carbonated and the hops gave a nice jagged sensation in the mouth. There was a pleasant sharpness and this was a very enjoyable beer.

Big white head. Clear coppery body with carbonation. Turns muddy when the dregs are poured in. Resiny tropical fruit aroma with raisiny floral notes. Dryish tropical fruit and wine grape taste with spicy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, fluffy mouthfeel. Dryish floral wooden aftertaste with resiny notes. Decent, but a bit watery, and better without the dregs. (0.33l bottle, not sure where from.)

Smell of grain, hops. Cloudy amber colour, high white head. Aroma of straw, hops, grain. Fizzy carbon. Very bitter, slightly sour. Dry palate. Too strawy, but otherwise packs a good set of flavours.

Cask at Tiny Rebel Cardiff. Clear golden coloured, medium sized creamy white to off-white head, mild malty nose. Biscuity malty, light caramel, some yoghurty peachy fruity and mild hoppy with some light bitterness in the finish. Pretty high other rates but this one didn’t impress me.

Bottle @ Ο Μπαμπάς (Koukaki, Athens). Pours pale yellow with fair white head. Medium body, slightly dry and bitter finish, some lace. Bread and toasted malts, floral and grass hops, some hints of pineapple and exotic fruits, with a nice bitter citrus backbone. Very refreshing, drinkable and fully enjoyable ale.

On cask at the Stockbridge Tap. Appearance - golden with a decent head. Nose - pine and grapefruit. Taste - tonnes of grapefruit and pith. Mineral underlay. Palate - light bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - great example of the style.
