The Halida brand is known as the pride of Vietnamese beer and originates from North Vietnam. Based on an old Vietnamese recipe, it has a full-flavoured yet mild taste. Halida is the choice for the beer-drinker who enjoys the combination of freshness, outstanding quality and reasonable prices.
The Haldia brand name was created as an abbreviation of Hanoi, Lien Doanh (meaning joint venture in Vietnamese) and Danmach (Denmark in Vietnamese). Many beer brands contain the letters DA, usually suggesting the use of Danish brewing technology and equipment.

Can, Hanoi. This is one of the downmarket beers from Vietnam. You can taste the difference. Pours all right with a decent head but flavor is uh, lacking - and doesn’t keep well

Can from minimart, Tam Coc. Macro lager aroma - lame. Flat gold. Not much pleasure to be had here - generic macro lager. Worst in tasting so far.

Klar gulbrun med hvitt skum. Lukter malt og noe metallisk. Lettdrikkelig lager som passer i vårsola.

29/9/2019. Can courtesy of Painy's travels, cheers! Pours clear bright gold with an average size foamy short lasting white head. Aroma of corn syrup, sweet malt, hops, sweet fruit, light caramel and grass. Medium plus sweetness, light to moderate bitterness. Moderate body, oily texture, average to spritzy carbonation. Crisp finish but turned a bit watery. Pretty good, certainly best of the pale lagers Painy brought back.

Lichtgeel bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is licht bitter hoppig. Best er nog aardig bier als het warm is.
