During the Roman Empire, the Roman armies were the first to plant orchards in England, when older soldiers were gifted land as an incentive for them to stay. Our orchards are not as old as the Roman Empire, however, our cider is made from traditional cider apples grown in Somerset along the ancient Fosseway road.

Bottle shared at the chriso Snow Tasting - London. Pours clear yellow. Sugary apple aroma. Medium to big sweet flavor with lots of stewed apples. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. It actually dries out a little bit, leading to some odd smoke notes. Quite dry on the finish, with subtle spiced and ripening apples. Not bad.

Bottle from Euston Cider Tap. Amber/gold, cloudy as you like. A bit of head and high carbonation. Bready, yeasty, caramel-apple aroma. Nice. The taste has the tartness and funk that you look for in a proper cider, without the extreme sourness inherent in some scrumpies. Bitter/sour finish with the slightest tempering sweetness. This is really nice.

750ml bottle from Euston Cider Tap. Pours an Irn Bru orange, extremely fizzy with a thick dry texture, sharp tannins and a rich furry dryness. Taste is strong and woody with some farmyard and dusty cider cellar elements. Not amazing.

Bottle from the Bristol Cider Shop. Deep gold with some short lived fizz. Dry apple fruit aroma with some wood and barnyard character. Flavour was also tart, with some skins and cores and a woody, dry finish. Good.
